Malta Gaming Authority
Brand Identity
For & in collaboration with Redorange design agency, Malta
Role: Brand lead (concept creation & implementation)
With its expertise in both the legislative and technical aspects of gaming, the Malta Gaming Authority is not only responsible for regulating all gaming activities in Malta, but has also branched out to provide its services worldwide. This project was a complete brand re-haul, aiming to refresh the Authority’s visual identity and communicative voice, both internally and externally.
For this project, I was the design lead as part of a team within a design agency setting. I was responsible for creating the brand from concept to execution with close guidance from the studio head designer. I attended meetings with key stakeholders and workshop brand details according to feedback, developed the visual language and the brand guidelines to support it, and consulted in additional developments of brand material after the main branding project was finished.
The brand icon shifts and transforms into different dynamic forms, reflecting the MGA’s flexibility and constant evolution. While the base shape stays the same, smooth transitions allow the marque’s nodes to morph seamlessly, in continuous re-invention, while always maintaining the core foundations.
