F ield Poetry is an autoethnographic exploration of a place significant to my notions of homeland, upbringing, and personal identity. Bridging incomplete, nostalgia-tinted memories with embodied re-experiencing, Field Poetry tests methods of visual communication design for the negotiation of complex thought, emotion, and memory.
The fragmented stories of this place are subjective and personal, told from various vantage points – retrospective, introspective, nostalgic, physically immersed, and uncertain. Though these perspectives vary, they are all mine, and they are all informed by my own experience.
